Céline Dion Announces Paris Concert Comeback After Health Hiatus

French-Canadian singer Céline Dion announced a return to live performances, confirming a new series of concerts in Paris beginning in September after a prolonged absence due to health challenges.

Dion made the announcement under the lights of the Eiffel Tower, sharing the news on her birthday and describing it as “the best gift” of her life. In a message to fans, she said she feels “strong” and “excited,” and expressed gratitude for the support she received during her recovery.

The singer has been largely absent from full-length performances for nearly six years following her diagnosis with Stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological condition that causes muscle stiffness and spasms.

Dion, known for global hits including “My Heart Will Go On,” “Think Twice” and “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now,” last appeared on a major stage during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics, marking a high-profile return to the spotlight.

Her “Courage World Tour,” launched in 2019, was first disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic and later canceled as her condition worsened. While there is no cure for stiff-person syndrome, treatment can help manage symptoms.
