A 17-year-old was fatally stabbed in the southwestern town of Dax, while in Paris, a moped rider died after colliding with a car. In Grenoble, a vehicle drove into a crowd of fans, injuring four people — two of them seriously.

Police reported 491 arrests in the French capital alone, primarily for disorderly conduct and the use of illegal fireworks. Clashes broke out between law enforcement and groups gathered on the Champs-Élysées, where thousands had assembled to celebrate.

Despite official praise for PSG’s triumph, the night was overshadowed by violence and tragedy across the country.
