Halle Bailey Accuses Rapper DDG Of Abuse, Files Temporary Restraining Order

Actress and singer Halle Bailey has filed for a temporary restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, rapper Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., known professionally as DDG, citing emotional and physical abuse in newly revealed court documents.

Bailey, 25, who shares a 19-month-old son named Halo with DDG, ended their relationship over six months ago. However, legal documents obtained by PEOPLE Magazine indicate that tensions between the two have escalated, prompting Bailey to seek legal protection.

In her statement to the court, Bailey alleged that DDG has subjected her to repeated harassment, particularly through social media.

“Whenever he wishes to cause upset, he starts badmouthing me to his several millions of fans,” Bailey wrote. “He claims I am withholding our son and that I am with other men. As a result, I then receive threats and hate on social media.”

She added that DDG has gone live on social media platforms to make false accusations, including claims that she has been preventing him from seeing their son.

Bailey also submitted photographic evidence with her request for the restraining order, including images of a chipped front tooth and a visible bruise on her bicep. She claimed these injuries were the result of DDG’s abusive behavior.

Additionally, the court filing includes a text message that Bailey purportedly sent to DDG, in which she asks him to stop spreading false information:

“Darryl, are u not tired of harassing me? You make up a new lie on me every day… Please let me enjoy my Mother’s Day in peace.”

Bailey has also filed for full custody of their son and has requested permission to travel with Halo to Italy for two months while she works on an upcoming film project.

DDG has not yet responded publicly to the allegations.

The former couple, once seen as a rising young power pair in entertainment, confirmed their split earlier this year. Their relationship had been closely followed by fans, especially following the birth of their son.
