The 10th edition of the Faysol Oluwakemi Annual Health Lecture (FOHCAF 2025) has been announced, marking a decade of sustained advocacy, health education, and community service.
According to the convener, Faysol Oluwakemi, this year’s milestone edition celebrates “a decade of impact, advocacy, and service to humanity through health education and community empowerment.”
Despite financial and logistical hurdles, organizers say their commitment to promoting public health remains unwavering. To mark the occasion, this year’s event will be modest yet impactful, featuring two major activities.
The first is a Special Edition of the Health Focus Show on Fresh FM Ibadan, scheduled for Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
Themed “A Decade of Impact: Advancing Health Information, Empowering Communities,” the broadcast will reflect on FOHCAF’s journey, its achievements, and its plans for the future of health promotion and media advocacy.
The celebration will culminate in a Free Medical Outreach on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Orita Merin, Oja’ba, Ibadan South-West Local Government Area, Oyo State. The outreach aims to serve about 1,000 beneficiaries, providing free health checks, consultations, and medications to underserved members of the community.
Organized under the Faysol Oluwakemi Health Care Forum (FOHCAF) in collaboration with the Get Healthy Africa Initiative (GHAi), the annual lecture has become a trusted platform for advancing health awareness, driving community impact, and bridging the gap between information and access to care.
Organizers have also appealed for support from individuals, organizations, and well-wishers to sustain the initiative.
